Our Commitment

The Embodied Psychology Summit is committed to dedicating the profits from the sale of the Summit Collection to the following nonprofit organizations. Thank you for your support!

Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE) was formed in 1994 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For 22 years they have been providing support services to start-up nonprofit projects in order to alleviate the initial obstacles faced when transforming a project vision into a reality.

SEE’s long-term vision is empowering individuals to turn their ideas of positive change in their communities into action. Projects under their sponsorship are not separate organizations; rather, they are extensions of SEE’s mission. As an umbrella organization for many projects, their staff partners with project directors, and the combined effort of administrative, financial, fundraising, and educational awareness come together to work towards progressive change.

The National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network (NQTTCN) is a SEE project that provides a space for queer, gender non-conforming and trans therapists of color to build, resource, and support one another as clinicians and healers. NQTTCN provides a network of support for queer and trans people of color (QTPoC) seeking transformative mental health resources rooted in social justice and liberation. This space supports QTPoC to utilize their relationships and collective power to build their capacity for healing in their communities.

The Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) is a nonprofit organization devoted to cultivating trauma-informed and resiliency-focused individuals and communities throughout the world, respecting the wisdom of cultural diversity.

TRI aims to take people from despair to hope through simple skills-based interventions based on cutting edge research about the brain, and to expand access to wellness skills to enhance resiliency for our active duty service members, veterans and their families. TRI also expands access to biologically based treatments by training frontline service providers, community leaders and clinicians in order to build local capacity in diverse communities nationally and internationally.

As a trauma educational organization, TRI is committed to the following values:

  • Every individual, child and adult, has a natural-born resiliency.

  • When a traumatic event has resulted in symptoms, individuals are entitled to treatment that is gentle, effective and culturally-sensitive.

  • Education and intervention about the common reactions to traumatic experiences must be available to diverse populations and cultures.

  • Treatment of individuals suffering from traumatic stress reactions must be accessible and affordable to all members of society.

  • Enhancing the capacity of communities to provide for their own members rather than relying on outside experts creates resiliency–informed communities.

The Loveland Foundation is a nonprofit committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Their resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing.

With barriers affecting access to treatment by members of diverse ethnic and racial groups, the Loveland Therapy Fund provides financial assistance to Black women and girls nationally seeking therapy.

Through their partnerships with Therapy for Black GirlsNational Queer & Trans Therapists of Color NetworkTalkspace and Open Path Collective, Loveland Therapy Fund recipients gain access to a comprehensive list of mental health professionals across the country providing high quality, culturally competent services to Black women and girls. With therapy sessions costing an average of $80 – $200 per session, they have selected various options to increase the likelihood that participants are able to financially afford therapy after the end of the 4 – 8 sessions supported by The Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund. Black women and girls deserve access to healing, and that healing will impact generations.

You may apply for financial assistance here on their website.
